Roll forward narrative contents


      When dealing with numerous notes in a report, tagging narrative contents can be a challenging task. However, the Roll Forward feature simplifies this process by allowing the seamless transfer of tags for narrative contents from the previous document to the current one. Below are the steps to guide you through this efficient process.

      Begin by selecting the necessary entity and the document and then select the "Roll Forward" icon.



      1. Next, select "Choose the required workspace" option. Then choose the previous workspace from the list and click "Submitand you will be directed to the "Roll Forward Period Conversion" screen.



      2. In the "Previous Period" section, review and check the periods that need conversion. From the dropdown menu, choose the relevant period type (3ME, 6ME, 9ME, FYE, or Custom). Set the required period by selecting from the current period list. Click "Convert and Proceed" to initiate the process. Alternatively, you can select "Skip" to continue without converting periods.



      3. Select the necessary sections for narrative matching in both the current and previous documents. Click on the "Narrative Tag" icon to initiate the tagging process.



Matching Process Visualization:

  1. Exact matches are denoted by a dark green check box, offering a clear indication of precise matches.
  2. Partial matches are highlighted in light green, providing visibility into areas where there might be some correlation.
  3. Unmatched values are presented in white or blank, helping you identify areas that require attention and manual intervention.

Resetting Matching Preferences:

      You can use the "Refresh" icon serves as a tool to reset matching preferences, ensuring that the matching process starts afresh with accurate parameters.

Manual Match Process:

      Choose the desired row from both the previous and current paragraphs. For example, if you are selecting R1 in the previous document check the box in the current document where it needs to be matched. Use the "Manual Match" option and both will be matched. Keep doing the same process until the match finishes. 


Removing Matches:

      If you wish to remove the matches, select the specific row from the current paragraph that needs to be unlinked or removed from the matching process. Click on "Remove Match" icon to execute the removal.

Transferring Tags:

      Once the matching is done, click on the "Transfer Tags" icon to effortlessly move relevant tags from the previous paragraph to the current one, streamlining the tagging process.

Adding a New Period:

      If you wish to add a new period, Integrate a new desired period by clicking on the Add Period option.

Visual Confirmation of Tag Transfer:

      Notice a change in color to “Orange” after transferring tags, providing a visual confirmation of successful tag transfer.




Applying Period for Values:

      Select the desired row after the tag transfer. Choose the appropriate period from the dropdown menu. Click on the "Apply" button to align the period for the values seamlessly.

Saving Tag Configurations:

      Secure your matching and tagging configurations by clicking on the "Save Tag" button, ensuring that your progress is retained and documented.
