Add or remove footnotes

Add or remove footnotes

Footnotes serve as additional information or explanations for specific data points in a document. They help clarify the context of the tagged values, ensuring transparency and accuracy in financial and regulatory reporting. In the XBRL Reporting application, you can easily add or remove footnotes to enhance the clarity of your reports.

Add a Footnote

      1. Right-click on the tagged value where you want to add a footnote. Select "Add Footnotes" from the menu.

      2. From the list of available footnotes, choose the footnote that needs to be assigned. Use the arrow mark to move to the next available footnote. If it is not available, use "Add new footnote" to add new footnotes to the repository.

      3. Check the Footnote and click "Assign Footnotes" to link the footnote to the chosen cell.

Remove a Footnote

      1. Right-click on the tagged value where you want to remove a footnote.
      2. Select "Add Footnotes" from the menu.
      3. From the list of assigned footnotes, choose the footnote that needs to be removed.
      4. Use the arrow mark to move the footnote to the left panel.

      5. Click "Assign Footnotes", and the footnote will be unlinked from the cell.
