Apply background color to a cell/row/table

      Applying background colors to different parts of your table can greatly enhance its clarity and visual appeal. This guide will help you understand how to effectively apply background colors to individual cells, entire rows, or the entire table, making specific data points stand out.

Apply Cell Background Color

  1. Start by clicking on the cell that you want to modify. Ensure that only the desired cell is highlighted to avoid any unintended changes.
  2. Navigate to the "Table" tab on the toolbar.
  3. Click on the "Color" icon within the "Table" tab. This action will reveal a dropdown menu with multiple color application choices.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Cell Background Color." A color palette will then be displayed.
  5. Browse through the available colors in the palette and select the one that best suits your needs. The chosen color will be immediately applied to the active cell, making it visually distinct and emphasized.


 Apply Row Background Color

  1. Click on any cell within the row you wish to modify, or select the entire row.
  2. Access the "Table" tab on the toolbar.
  3. Click on the "Color" icon within the "Table" tab. A dropdown menu will appear with several color application options.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Row Background Color." This action will display a color palette.
  5. Choose the color you wish to apply from the palette. The selected color will be applied uniformly across all cells in the chosen row, enhancing its visibility and distinguishing it from other rows.



Apply Table Background Color

  1. Click on any cell within the table to ensure the table is active and ready for formatting changes.
  2. Navigate to the "Table" tab on the toolbar.
  3. Click on the "Color" icon within the "Table" tab. This will bring up a dropdown menu with different color application options.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Table Background Color." A color palette will then be presented.
  5. Browse through the color palette and select the desired color. The chosen color will be applied uniformly across all cells in the table, providing a cohesive and professional look to your data presentation.

Choose colors that provide good contrast with the text to ensure the data remains readable. Avoid colors that blend too closely with the text color.
