Create/Edit document type

Create/Edit document type

Document Types are predefined templates designed for various forms and exhibits required for regulatory submissions. Each document type includes pre-configured sections to streamline your document creation process.

In our application, we've gathered a bunch of these document types for you to use. Some examples include 10, 10-K, 10-K/A, 10-KT, and many others.

Creating a Document Type:

To create a new document type, follow these steps:

Info
Admin >> Document Type >> Add

  1. Hover the mouse cursor over the “Admin” menu at the top right and then select “Document type”.
  2. Click "Add" and a form will appear for Document Type Creation.
  3. Provide the document name that you desire. Then select the document type that you would like to use. After that select the document group.
  4. Once it is done, the section can be added manually.  Please enter the section name and click on “Add section” so that it will be added to the document type.
  5. Fill in all the necessary details. Make sure everything is accurate and complete. After you've reviewed and confirmed your entries, click "Submit."

Editing an Existing Document Type:

If you need to make changes to a Document Type you've already created, please follow the provided steps below.

  1. Select the document type you want to edit. Then click the "Edit" icon on the right.
  2. For existing document types, you can only edit the sections. The "Document name," "Document group," and "Document type" fields cannot be edited.
  3. For newly created document types, you can edit the "Document name," "Document group," "Document type," and "sections".
  4. Make the necessary changes in the form, and once you're satisfied, click "Submit" to save your edits.

Managing Document Type Status:

You can control the status of the document type and it is pretty straightforward:

  1. To use a Document Type, set the toggle button to "Active." This makes it ready for use.
  2. If you don't need a Document Type, switch the toggle to "Inactive" to hide it from the list.

By following these detailed yet simplified instructions, you have full control over your Document Types and templates, making the process of regulatory submissions more efficient and precise.
