Reorder element

Reorder element

Organizing the presentation tree is a key aspect of creating an intelligible and structured financial document. This process can be made simpler with the ability to reorder elements within the tree to better align with your document's content. Let's dive into the process:

Reordering Elements within the Abstract

  1. Start by selecting the Tree Role you wish to work with from your presentation tree.
  2. With the appropriate Tree Role selected, right-click on the "Abstract" element (the parent element that serves as a container for other elements).
  3. Choose the "Re-order Element" option. You'll be redirected to the Re-order tab, where you can make your adjustments.
  4. Now, you have the flexibility to move the elements within this Abstract element to your preferred positions.
  5.  Once you're satisfied with the new arrangement, click the "Update" button to confirm the changes.

Moving Elements Between Abstracts

Sometimes, you may need to shift elements from one Abstract to another, possibly to better categorize or reorganize your document. Here's how you can do it:
  1. To initiate this process, right-click on the “Abstract” element where you intend to move your desired element.
  2. Select the "Set as Parent" option to establish this Abstract Element as the new container.
  3. Now, select and right-click on the element you wish to move and choose "Move". You can relocate both the complete Abstract elements along with their child elements using the same procedure.

By following these steps, you can effectively reposition elements within your presentation tree, ensuring your financial document is structured in a clear and logical order. Whether it's simple rearrangement or more substantial shifts between Abstracts, this functionality gives you the control you need to create an organized and precise presentation tree.
