Roll forward tabular contents

Roll forward tabular contents

When working with large tables containing numerous elements, tagging can become time-consuming. The Roll Forward feature streamlines this process by transferring tags from a previous table to the current one. Follow the steps below to roll forward tabular content:

       1. To begin, select the required entity and document, then click on the "Roll Forward" icon in the document process screen.

     2. Next, select "Choose the required workspace" option. Then choose the previous workspace from the list and click "Submit" and you will be directed to the "Roll Forward Period Conversion" screen.

      3. In the "Previous Period" section, review and check the periods that need conversion. From the dropdown menu, choose the relevant period type (3ME, 6ME, 9ME, FYE, or Custom).
      4. Set the required period by selecting from the current period list. Click "Convert and Proceed" to initiate the process. Alternatively, you can select "Skip" to continue without converting periods.

      5. Upon selecting "Skip" or "Convert & Proceed," the roll-forward matching screen will appear, presenting a side-by-side comparison with the previous document's content displayed on the left and the current one on the right.
      6. Begin by selecting the required section in the previous and current workspace for table matching.
      7. Click on the “Table Tag” icon at the right top of your screen. This action initiates the table-matching process.

      8. After initiating the roll-forward matching process, You will get a screen called “Match Table” where you can see the previous document's table at the left and the current document's table at the right.
      9. The exact matches will be prominently displayed in a dark green check box. Partial matches will appear in a light green shade. Unmatched values will be shown in white, ensuring clarity in the matching results.
      10. Click the "Refresh" icon to reset matching preferences, allowing you to start the matching process afresh if needed.

Manual Matching:

      1. Please carefully inspect the "RID" column, where you can identify the row numbers (R1, R2, R3, ...). Compare the Row ID in both tables with the assigned elements. If there is a mismatch, manual matching is required.

      2. To manually match specific rows, select the desired row from the previous table and its equivalent matching row in the current table. Click the "Manual Match" icon to complete the matching process with precision.
      3. If a match needs to be undone, select the desired row from the current table and click the "Remove Match" icon to dissociate the linked rows.

Transfer Tags:

After ensuring the accuracy of the matching, execute the transfer of tags from the previous table to the current table by clicking the "Transfer Tags" icon. This step ensures that relevant tags are seamlessly migrated between corresponding rows.

Add New Period:

Click on "Add Period." This action facilitates the inclusion of a desired time frame for the tagged values.

Visual Confirmation:

After successful tag transfer, the color of the transferred tags changes to Orange, providing a visual confirmation of the completed transfer process.

Apply Period:

Select the desired row/column and choose the appropriate period from the dropdown menu. Click "Apply" to associate the chosen period with the values, ensuring accurate temporal representation.

Save Changes:

Once all adjustments are made, click the "Save Tag" button to preserve the changes and update the document with the newly matched and transferred content.

This comprehensive roll-forward matching process empowers you to meticulously manage and align data between previous and current tables, contributing to the accuracy and reliability of the reporting process.
