Tag facts without reference

Tag facts without reference

The Tag Facts without Reference feature allows you to tag values in your document even when no direct reference is available from the source. Follow these steps for a seamless tagging process:

      1. Start by selecting the section in your document where you need to apply the tag.
      2. From the dropdown menu, choose the relevant Tree Role and then select the element.

      3. At the bottom left of the interface, select the "Free Flow" tab.
      4. Navigate to the Fact box where you'll input the value that needs tagging. Here, you can either manually type in or copy-paste the value. This approach allows you to tag values even when a reference isn’t available.

      5. Assign the appropriate Period for the tag. This ensures that the tagged value is correctly associated with the relevant period.
      6. If necessary, check "Set as Nil" to assign a nil value to the tag. This option is useful if the value you're tagging is intended to represent an absence of data.
      7. Finally, click the "Tag" icon to complete the tagging process. This action will finalize the tag, ensuring it’s properly applied to the selected section.

Info
When you tag the CIK (Central Index Key), it should be 10 digits. If your CIK contain less than 10 digits, add zero(s) before CIK to make it 10 digits.
