How to transfer the tags from your tagged document when you are new to the Datatracks application(Reverse iXBRL)?
Reverse iXBRL is a powerful feature on the application that allows for seamless importing of tags and
presentation tree from an existing tagged XBRL document. This guide will walk
you through the steps to successfully perform reverse iXBRL.
Begin by creating the appropriate entity and
assign the user to the entity within the DataTracks platform. This sets the
foundation for your document
Create Document:
- Navigate to the "Create Document"
section through the Documents menu.
- Select the “XHTML” option while
creating your new document.
- Upload your XHTML document (tagged zip
file) by following the on-screen prompts. This step transfers your pre-tagged
data into the DataTracks system.
Manual Section Creation:
Once the document is uploaded, you will
need to create sections manually.
- Position your cursor where the section
should start, right-click, and select “Start Section.”
- Move the cursor to where the section should
end, right-click, and select “End Section.”
- Repeat these steps for each section needed
in your document.
- Click "Save" to confirm
and create these sections.
Assign Users to Sections:
- Click on the “Edit Workspace” icon.
- Right-click on the Document, select “Assign
User,” and choose the appropriate user for each section.
- Click “Save” to apply these changes.
Assigning users ensures that each section is managed and reviewed by the
correct personnel.
Select Entity and Document:
- Confirm that the correct entity and
document are selected in the application to avoid any discrepancies during the
reverse iXBRL process.
Activate Reverse iXBRL Layer:
- Click on the “Reverse iXBRL Layer”
icon located at the top right of your screen and the Reverese iXBRL screen will
appear.
- Select sections one by one to review and
verify the accuracy of the tags imported.
Verify and Correct Tags:
- Inspect the tags in each section.
- Correctly tagged content will appear in
green.
- Content requiring correction will be
highlighted in yellow.
- Manually select and tag content if
discrepancies are found.
Manual (Element or Role) match
- Choose the content in the document, relevant role and element in the presentation tree for your content, and then click the "Manual Element Match" icon to
apply the tags accurately for each content.
- Alternatively, select the content first,
then choose the role. Click the "Manual Role Match” icon to apply
the tags. All content under the selected role will be tagged with the
appropriate element.
Save Tags:
- After verifying the tags, click on the
"Save tags" icon to save the tags for each section.
- Properly tagged content will be highlighted
in Aqua blue, indicating successful tagging.
Save Calculations:
- For sections involving calculations, select
the appropriate calculation role and click "Save" to preserve
the calculations.
Complete the Process:
- Click “Complete” to finalize the
reverse iXBRL process. It is crucial to review all tags carefully before
completing them.
- Once completed, the reverse iXBRL layer
icon will disappear, indicating that the process is finished.
Note :
If the document was not created within the
DataTracks application, this feature allows you to upload your tagged documents
and import the tags along with the presentation tree. This saves time by eliminating the need to
recreate the presentation tree manually.
For documents created using DataTracks, use
the Roll Forward feature to transfer tags and elements efficiently for future
filings.
By following these detailed steps, you can
effectively upload and manage your tagged documents within the DataTracks
platform, ensuring precision and consistency in your iXBRL filings. Should you
have any questions or require further assistance, our customer care team is
here to help.
