Paragraph special indent

Paragraph special indent

The Paragraph Special Indent feature allows for precise adjustment of paragraph alignment, offering two distinct options to control the positioning of text: First Line indent and Hanging indent. Follow these steps to apply the desired indent style:

      1. Begin by highlighting the block of text or placing your cursor within the paragraph that you want to modify.
      2. Navigate to the "Insert" tab on the toolbar, click on "Paragraph", then select "Paragraph Special Indent" from the dropdown menu. This will open the indent configuration dialog.

      3. In the indent settings dialog, choose between the following options
First Line: This option moves only the first line of the paragraph inward, creating a visual distinction for the beginning of the paragraph. It is commonly used for creating paragraph indents at the start of each new section.
Hanging: This option shifts all lines of the paragraph inward except for the first line.

      4. After selecting your preferred indent type, adjust the indent settings to specify the exact measurement of the indentation. This setting determines how far the text will be moved from the margin.
      5. Click "OK" to apply the indent settings. The content will be reformatted according to the chosen indent style, resulting in a polished and professional appearance.

Alternatively, you can use the First Line Indent or Hanging Indent options to make this process easier and quicker.
