Tagging financial values ensures that the correct numerical data from the financial statement is accurately mapped to the appropriate elements in the template. This structured approach improves compliance and minimises errors in reporting. Follow the steps below to efficiently tag financial values.
1.Ensure to Toggle on the "Table tag" to tag the financial statement in the document.
2. Navigate to the financial statement that requires tagging from the left panel of the application.
3. On the right panel, choose the relevant template corresponding to the financial statement.
4. The template contains predefined line items with their respective element names. Cross-check the line items in the financial statement against the elements in the template.
5. Highlight the financial values in the financial statement. The selection can be single or multiple values.
6. Drag and drop the selected values onto the appropriate elements in the template.
7. Once placed, the tagged values in the financial statement will change to coral peach color for easy identification.
To verify, select the tagged value in the template; the corresponding value in the financial statement will be highlighted for confirmation. 8. After verification, click "Tag" to finalise the process.
9. To verify the tag, click on the value in the template. The corresponding value in the document will be highlighted, ensuring easy identification. Additionally, when you click on the value , you will be navigated directly to the respective value in the document, allowing for quick validation and cross-referencing.
10. To remove the tag, right click on the value in the template and then choose "Remove Tag" ,and it will be removed.
