The error you are experiencing may be due to the expiration of HMRC’s Authorization (OAuth token). By following the steps outlined below, you will be able to reauthorize and continue with your submission.
Steps to Revoke Authorization and Reauthorize with HMRC :
- Navigate to the Entity section from the left pane of the application.
- Locate the entity name for which you need to revoke authorization. Click on the "Revoke" button next to the entity name. This action will revoke your current authorization.
- After revoking, you will see an Authorize button. Click on this "Authorize" button to proceed to the HMRC authorization page.
- Sign in with your HMRC credentials on the HMRC page. Click "Grant Authority" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the authorization.
Ensure that you are using HMRC credentials specific to the entity you want to authorize. If the credentials do not correspond to the specific VAT Registration Number (VRN), the interactions with HMRC from the application will not be successful.
Once you have successfully reauthorized, you can proceed to create your return if you have not already done so. If you are at the final submission step, click the "Submit" button next to the relevant line item, and your return will be be submitted successfully.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve any authorization issues and successfully submit your return. If you have any further questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at
