Unable to Finalize

Unable to Finalize

If you've completed all the necessary actions but are still unable to finalize your VAT return, the issue may be related to your authorization with HMRC. This guide will walk you through the process of revoking and reauthorizing your account with HMRC to resolve the issue.

      1. On the left pane of the application, go to the Entity section where all your registered entities are listed.
      2. Find the entity for which you need to revoke authorization.
      3. Click on the "Revoke" button next to the entity name. This action will revoke your current authorization with HMRC.
      4. After revoking the authorization, you will now see an "Authorize" button next to the same entity.

      5. Click on the "Authorize" button to be redirected to the HMRC authorization page.
      6. On the HMRC page, sign in using your HMRC credentials.
InfoEnsure you are using the correct credentials for the entity you are authorizing. If the credentials do not match the VAT Registration Number (VRN) of the entity, the authorization will not be successful.

      7. Once signed in, click "Grant Authority" to allow the application to interact with HMRC on your behalf.
      8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the authorization process.
      9. After successfully granting authorization, you will be redirected back to the application. You should see a confirmation that the entity has been authorized with HMRC.
      10. If you are at the final submission step, click the "Submit" button next to the relevant return line item. Your return will now be submitted successfully.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve any issues related to authorization and proceed with submitting your VAT return. If you encounter any difficulties or have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our support team at mtd@datatracks.co.uk.
