Once data is imported into the application either by uploading a spreadsheet or creating a new spreadsheet, it can then be linked to the document available in the content layer. Follow the steps outlined below to effectively link data:
3. Click on the "Section" button and choose the specific section within the content layer where you intend to link data.
4. Once the section is selected, click on the "Spreadsheet" button located at the top right of the screen and choose the relevant spreadsheet from where you want to link. This action will open the spreadsheet alongside your document.
5. In the spreadsheet, select the data you wish to import and either press Ctrl + C to copy it or right-click and choose "Copy."
6. Navigate to the document, select the target location where the data should be placed with the source link, right-click, and choose "Paste with Link" Alternatively, you can click on "Tools" and select the "Paste with Link" icon, or use the shortcut "Alt + Shift + V". While pasting it into the Document, you will be prompted with the following options:
a. Values with formatting: Paste values along with their formatting from the spreadsheet, maintaining the original format.
b. Values only: Paste only the values into the Content Layer, without altering the existing format.
7. Select the desired option and click "OK" to paste the values. This will establish links for the data in the spreadsheet to the document.
8. Once linked, the values will be flagged with a blue flag in the content layer, indicating that the content is linked. Also, the data in the spreadsheet which is linked will have a green flag indicating that link is established to the document.
