An entity refers to an organisation or company that is registered for VAT. Creating an entity is a crucial step in setting up the MTD VAT Return application to manage VAT filings effectively. Both administrators and users with the appropriate privileges can create an entity within the application. Follow the steps below.
1. From the application dashboard, click on "Entity" in the sidebar.
2. Select "Create New" to open the entity creation form.
3. Provide the official name of the organisation or company.
4. Entity Name: Provide the official name of the organisation or company.
5. VAT Registration Number (VRN): Enter the entity’s VAT registration number.
6. Reporting Frequency: Choose how often the entity will file VAT returns (e.g., monthly, quarterly, or annually).
7. Country: Select the country in which the entity is registered.
8. Click "Submit" to finalise the entity creation process.

Ensure that all *mandatory fields (marked with ) are correctly filled. Other fields are optional and can be completed later.
