Apply Hidden tags with reference attribute

Apply Hidden tags with reference attribute

When working with iXBRL, you might encounter situations where content to be reported is not present in the document or a specific transformation rule is not available in the Transformation Rules Registry. The Hidden Tag with Reference feature allows you to manually tag these facts, ensuring all relevant data is accurately captured in the report. Follow these steps to apply, modify, or remove hidden tags:

Apply Hidden Tag

      1. Begin by navigating through the presentation tab, select the specific role you’re working with, and choose the corresponding element that will be used for tagging.
      2. Next, select the relevant content for which tag reference is required.

      3. Select the "Free Flow" option.
      4. On the right side of the screen, locate the Fact text box. Here, you can type in the required content that needs to be tagged. This step ensures the correct data is captured.
      5. Make sure to check the Hidden Reference box. This step is crucial as it marks the tag as hidden.

      6. Then, pick the required attributes for the value you're tagging. This helps in accurately categorizing the data.
      7. Once everything is set, click on the "Tag" icon to add the hidden tag along with the document reference. This finalizes the tagging process.

Modify or Remove Hidden Tag

If you need to make changes or remove it follow the provided steps below.

      1. Right-click on the element where the hidden tag has been applied. This will open options for modifying or removing the tag.
      2. Select the “Modify Parenthetical Tag” option. This will display the hidden tags listed in the grid, allowing you to view and manage them.

      3. Right-click on the specific tag you wish to modify or remove. Make the necessary changes or delete the tag as required.

By following these steps, you ensure that your iXBRL data is tagged correctly and maintained properly. This approach helps keep your reporting accurate and compliant with relevant standards.
